Divine Equation: The Infinite Power of One

A few days ago an equation flashed in my mind. While it is a bit difficult to describe in this medium, the equation was that the number 1, raised to the infinite power, is equal to 1. In other words, 1 times 1 times 1, multiplied out to infinity, will always be equal to 1.

New Math

I believe there is a wonderful, or perhaps I should say “one-derful” message here. The number “1” represents you, me, any being or consciousness. Next to it, in superscript position, is the infinity symbol, which represents God. The positioning of the two suggests God’s “ever-present-ness” with us, and as us. When 1 is multiplied by 1 to infinity, symbolizing infinite interaction, the result is always “1.”

In this equation the number 1 could represent one power, one consciousness, one being, one love, and oneness.

That’s so funny, I’m going to get that tattooed and whenever I get something tattooed I always look it up to see what other people have done with it, looks like we’re in the same boat.

More so than the rule, the law is one, we are all one, and every aspect of our living serves that 1 in different ways

    many blessings

  21. Washy

all numbers including the negatives are included on infinity, acording to my studies and most ancient traditions…

  22. good. but what is negative of 1 raised to infinity

  23. good but what is the negative of 1 raised to infinity

  24. Washy

most ppl forget that infinity is not only just the last number you can think about, but also contains each and everyone of them, and it cannot limit to matematical real numbers, cause that’s just going to one side of the multidimensional realm it represents…

you cannot represent infinity with algorithms, cause ure lacking all the imaginary, the unconceibable, and the yet to be discovered numbers. (excuse my bad grammar, english is not my first language so I don’t know how to spell some things properly)

to have a better understanding and not just matemátical about the “number” infinity, I suggest understanding first the meaning of the symbol that represents it, and why do we draw it that way, wich goes back in time to hundreds of years before any Moebius, by many ancient civilizations like the druids, babilonian, mayan, egypcian and so on…

Science has done a very good job in studying the creation of god, but if you look carefuly at that simbol that would mean just looking at one side of the coin… what about the other side, the left side, or are there even more sides we’re not seeing there??

and asking yourself why some represent it with 3 spirals, or a four circles united by a perfect square in the middle, starts bringing up new sides of it and aparent secret truths become evident.

there are no secrets we just need to realize the only ones putting limits to infinity are ourselfs, or like Michael Ende said: Fantasia has no boundaries, but we can turn it into the nothing if we don’t aknowledge and believe our hopes and dreams are also real.

I’ve been studying this equation in a diferent manner, more like a chain of numbers that go from infinity to infinity by duplicating itself as in:

    00 (infinity) 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 or 1+6=7, 32 or 3+2=5, 64 or 6+4=10=1+0 (back to 1 and 0 or origin), 128 or 1+2+8=11=1+1=2 (again 2), 256 or 2+5+6=13=1+3=4 (again 4)

so the chain number results in 2, 4, 8, 7, 5, 1+0, each time it returns to 1+0 it reaches a new level in a spiral, but always comes back again in the same position in a graphic.

to understand this numbers is best to also aknowledge that numbers are not invented things or just unexistant ideas… numbers are things, things that exist in our universe and each one of them contained in infinity represents something and “is” something; so aplying this simple chain numbers representing aspects of creation, brings a better understanding of how things develope in our “real” realm of conciousness.

looking at the equation in the way u represent it here, makes me consider also that “one” is within infinity (god) and also “one” part of infinity (god) lies within “one” self.

  25. this theory can be said correct because of the beleif that God is everything and everything is God i think we Christian are trying too hard to prove God reality its based on faith cause thats how God wanted it to be

Keep up the good work! 🙂

  27. look this link 1 power of infinity is not one is 1/exp(2/3). Well neper`s number is magical too.

Looks like we’ve got a metaphysical definition of infinity versus a mathematical one. However, mathematically, 1^∞ is not always 1. The equation X^(1/X-1) will turn out to be 1^∞ when you take the limit as X approaches 1. However, after rearranging the equation using exponents and and logarthims, you can use L’Hôpital’s rule and find the limit to be “e,” not one.

Straying from the mathematical definition, however, opens up limitless possibilities and interpretations, but these most of these interpretations rely on unjustified and arbitrary reasoning.

Maybe 1^∞ represents fate, for if we consider the “1” to mean each individual life, then nothing we can throw at it will change it, not even ∞. Or maybe it proves how the Christian god can both be omnipresent and take the form of a single entity. Or maybe there is no meaning to 1^∞, and it’s just a mathematical expression which bears no impact on most people’s lives.

  29. Hi Domanique,

I appreciate the thought you’ve given to this equation, and sharing its meaning to you. It spawned some further thoughts on this end:

You say that infinity is not considered a number, but a concept. First question is by whom, and so what?

Whether it is a concept or a number, if we agree that it exists, then the equation applies. We don’t need to understand the totality of infinity in order to plug it into this scenario.

Instead of a concept, I’d suggest that infinity is a paradox: beyond all that exists, while yet encompassing all that exists. Infinity will always be *more* than any objective >concept< that we can conceive. The mere process of conception *limits* the result, which makes it a “subset” of infinity. And, whatever we can conceive, can always been expanded, while infinity is without limitation.

I could have made the equation 1 to the “N” power equal “1”, to which we might fully agree, where “N” represents any number… but then again, whatever number you can conceivably give, you can always add 1 more, and infinity will ALWAYS be more than that additional number. In fact, it will always be infinitely more. And yet, that number will always be within that which is infinite.

Whether a number approaches infinity is not relevant to the equation. The meaningfulness of it lies in appreciating that 1, when raised to the power of infinity, is yet 1, because infinity IS 1 infinitely.

So the original equation works just fine for me.

    Regards,

    Adam…

  30. domanique

Actually, one to the infinite power does not exist in the domain of real numbers because infinity is not considered a number but, instead, a concept. Because it is a concept, it cannot be treated in the same way as a traditional number; i.e. raising a number to the infinite power. It is possible to take limits to infinity… but any limits that yield one to the infinite power are in indeterminate form and cannot be simplified to simply “one.” It is necessary to rearrange the expression using logarithms and fractions to obtain the form 0/0 or infinity/infinity, which can then be found by using l’Hôpital’s rule. How this then evaluates depends on the specific expression, but it’s often the case that one to the infinite power is not one.

However, the limit of 1^x as x approaches infinity is one, but that’s not what’s written at the top of the page.

This equation is as old as time, and recently It has been entering the consciousness of many. It reminds us that we truly are all connected as one, it proceeds to push individuals that are aware of oneness to realize the infinite power of thought and how change can be sought from one. Our thoughts, changing the confounds of collective thought, old ideology and old world thinking that are no longer necessary. It reminds us of our infinite power.

  32. Hey Tomas, how ’bout that? Oneness rules, and IS the Rule, not the exception. Love your art too.

  33. Really amazing! I love that place where math and science intersect poetry and theology!

  34. Dear Adam,
    that’s wonderful. You and I are 1.
Wow. Even our blogs has the same outward look.
